Supernatural: Worlds End

I know that there are only so many stories, but this weeks episode definitely had whispers of this seasons Arrowverse Crisis crossover. Destruction of the multi-verse is the name of the game this year!

Then!

Chuck and the boys fight; Dark Kaia wants Jack to bring her back to her world; Jack’s gonna kill God.

Now(ish)!

Chuck is always watching!

Four months ago Chuck made a visit to a stereo shop on what is another earth, as the POTUS is Hillary Clinton! Chuck is just looking for an audience as he does a Godly monologue. Seems as though the Winchester earth was the first. Then Chuck got the bug, and kept making more and more Sam and Deans. But the original boys challenge him, surprize him. So, Chuck decides that he needs less. He only wants to spar with the original recipe Sam and Dean, and and he starts destroying all the other worlds.

Back on our Winchester earth, Jody finds a mutilated cow, and after a call with Alex, sees something speed past a barn door. She goes to investigate, and gets knocked out!

Cut to the bunker, where Sam, Dean and Cas are discussing Death’s plan for Jack, wondering if the plan is good or bad. Sam is worried that Jack may not be in a good state of mind. Dean believes in Death, and mentions she was right about Rowena.

Jack is wandering through the bunker, and runs into a reaper named Merle who answers his silent prayer to Death. Merle was sent by Death to remind Jack not to use his powers, so Chuck can’t find him.

Dean and Cas have a drink in the library, and then Jody calls, telling them they need to come right now, or else she’s dead.

Sam and Dean arrive at the barn the next morning, finding a tied up Jody. (Hooray for not giving Jody another broken bone!) Dark Kaia jumps out, kicks Sam to the ground, and gets Dean in a headlock. Jody, now free from her bindings, smashes a chair over Dark Kaia’s head, effectively stopping her rampage..

Dark Kaia wants to go back to her world because its dying. Turns out that Kaia is still alive in the Bad Place, and the two Kaias are still connected via dreamwalking.

Everyone back to the bunker!!

Jack and Cas are playing Connect Four, and Jack wins! I sincerely think that neither one of them know what they’re doing, and its totally cute.

I can’t believe Jody and Cas have never met!!!!!!!!!! That blows my mind.

The crew pow-wows. Research and calls to Sergei are the plan, because Jack can’t use his power to open a rift. Jody makes sure Dark Kaia is chained up.

The research is a dead end. Michael/Adam is in the wind. Sergei isn’t answering his phone (good).

Jody admits to Cas that she sent Claire on a wild goose chase once she realized that Kaia might still be alive. She confides in Cas that Claire is still heartbroken about Kaia’s death, and the idea that she might be alive, but not able to be rescued, could be one stone too many for Claire to carry.

After another research failure, Jack goes to visit Dark Kaia. He dreamwalks with her, and sees Kaia struggling in the Bad Place. Jack decides that he has to help, after Dark Kaia appeals to his soft side.

Merle the reaper reappears, and tells Jack that doing this is Winchester Dumb. Dean: “Hey.”

Negotiations (Jack basically saying he’s gonna do it whether she helps or not) lead to Merle helping, first by reinstating the super powered warding – possibly temporarily – on the bunker that Amara burned through back in season 11.

Castiel convinces Jody to stay in the bunker with him, for the sake of Claire. Its very sweet, and I still can’t believe this is the first Jody/Cas meeting!

Sam and Dean have a very Sam and Dean convo (which I adore, BTW):

Merle and Cas hit the warding power button by putting their hands on a big rock to keep the warding super-powered up, hopefully strong enough to keep Jack’s use of his power off Death’s radar. Jack opens the rift, and Dark Kaia, Sam and Dean walk through.

The monsters in the Bad Place are scared. They know something is up, and they leave everyone alone as the trio head towards Kaia’s hut of sticks.

Kaia grabs her knife when she hears the boys calling her name. She cautiously steps out of the hut, sees Dean, and runs to him and gives him a hug. They turn to hustle off, but Dark Kaia stays, saying that she doesn’t belong in the other world.

Boom, the Bad Place is gone.

Everyone males it back through the rift, and Jody greets Kaia with a momma hug. Jody offers her home to Kaia, and they’re off to Sioux Falls. (The spin-off Wayward Sisters still exists in my mind)

Merle is busy congratulating everyone on a successful plan when Death shows, and shoves her scythe through Merle, dissolving her into ash.

Everyone looks appropriately horrified by Death’s appearance (see featured image at the top of post). She scolds the boys for thinking they know anything. Sam pipes up, asking Death her plan. Death reminds us that everything dies. The books in her library write themselves, and one of them is there for God. Death says the boys have work to do and that they are the messengers of God’s destruction.

The boys are left standing with their mouths agape.

Back to Chuck at the stereo shop, and seems it takes a while to unwind all the worlds. Chuck assures the sales associate that his help has been valued, and says he will be just fine. Chuck leaves the stereo shop just as meteors of doom come falling out of the sky.

Sorry, sales associate guy!!

Will Sam and Dean do what Death asks, or carry on as before, doing what they think is right? Or do they even have free will at all? They did a good job raising Jack, who made the choice our beautiful boys would have made. I just hope this doesn’t lead to everyone fighting with Death, but we shall see!!!

NEXT!! Sam and Dean meets their doppelgangers from another Earth, and they are very pretty!
