24: Please wake me up when something happens

I don’t have a helluva lot to say after Monday night’s episode except for: What? Did ANYthing happen?

Yeah, some guns were drawn and a guy jumped out the window after shooting who he thought was Hairbib Schwartzmann, but, really? That was it? Jack’s leading a bunch of redshirts around, but no one’s getting killed. And Chico Jr. is spending WAY too much time with Dana/Jenny. Isn’t there some national crisis going on?

Maybe something else happened, but I got distracted by something interesting, so I must have missed it.

Waiting for some big conspiracy/evil to raise the tension. Might be wrong, but isn’t the 24 world still reeling from nuke in LA and all those nuke reactor accidents?

I completely disagree! That was old-school, tension filled 24, IMO. I loved it, with the now usual exception of the Dana/Cole storyline that just sucks harder each and every episode. The presidents were interesting, the head of CTU was interesting in a non-annoying way, and Jack and BabyAgent Owen had me on the edge of my seat (I was sure he was dead, dead, dead). Even Chloe got more to do than sit and sneer in the backround.

This was the first time pretty much all season, except for the first episode or two, where I was sad to see the episode end.

I do agree, however, that Jack has not killed nearly enough minions this season. :)

@David – oh, please, those were years ago.

@Erika – Wow. Can’t believe we disagreed so deeply; that rarely happens.I just was so uninterested. I could barely focus.
