@Quex – I don’t think it’s their daughter, because it was made so abundantly clear that Jacob had to physically touch the person to draw them to the island. And their daughter has never even been to the island and is unlikely to get there. Of course, this is Lost, so anything is possible and I won’t say you’re wrong. Just don’t think it’s the case.

@Erika – Yeah, Richard acting like a scared rabbit was VERY unnerving. And I know what you mean about a lack of Desmond. We need him and PENNAH! But meanwhile, I do find myself considering pondering Richard more than ever. Freaked me the hell out when he got all scared.
Also, glad someone’s been scanning the HD pictures and confirmed there’s no Kate name. I think the key is her pull on both Jack and Sawyer.
And agreed- that’s exactly what I love about this show. But it wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the amazing acting jobs. And whatever anyone wants to say about Jack and Kate as characters – love ‘em or hate ‘em – the actors portraying them rock the house, too. Just not as hard as Michael Emerson and Terry O’Quinn.

OMG, a scared Richard makes a nervous Erika! So completely unnerving to see Richard soooo… unnerved!! (I think, in the absence of Desmond, I have glommed onto Richard for some reason… ) I have no idea who is right, or who is wrong, but I am totally enjoying the ride so far.

Terry O’Quinn and Michael Emerson FTW! Honestly, those two just kicked ass in this episode. Eh, they always kick it.

The glaring omission of ‘Austen’ on FLocke’s Wall O’ Greatness is so damn glaring that it has to mean something, right? I have been following the HD posters, and no one can find her name anywhere. That has got to mean something, too. Or not.

Damn you LOST, for making me question freakin’ everything. And that is precisely why I adore it.

@Dave – I still kinda like Jack. He gets a bad rap. However, I completely agree with you about Hurley and Libby and the Island. That’d be awesome. Though, at the same time, a letdown of sorts.

Neither Kate nor Jack should be “eligible” if for no other reason than they are the most irritating characters on the show.

Give the Island to Hurley and bring back his dead girlfriend.

@Chris – Love it! Would definitely have to have a laugh track.

@Mark – ooh, I had totally forgotten about that, and I think that’s an excellent point. It would have been interesting if “Austen” had been written in the cave, but he hadn’t pointed it out. But the island did “speak” to her, in the form of that horse. Could have been Jacob, perhaps.

@Flyssy – Isn’t it nice to see him kind of have his act together? Love Hurley, whether he has good luck or bad.

@Ken – It could be; but certainly not your “normal” prison. Obviously, Smocke isn’t supposed to get off the island. It will be interesting what happens when/if he does.

My thoughts on Kate. Her name is not in the cave, and when smokey had it’s encounter with her (and Juliet) it did not “see” her. Instead of going into her past, it had white flashes. I always thought that was because of Juliet, but now I think it is because of Kate.

MIB/Smokey has a blind spot, and her name is Kate Austen! She is going to be very important in Jacob’s end game I think.
