I meant to talk about the dock scene. It was truly heartbreaking and Josh Holloway totally needs an Emmy. As for the typical Other-ness, totally! They have GOT to just TELL the Losties wtf is going on, already. @Mark - I see a little bit of what you're saying, but I like it for, as Erika said, that BSG "All this has happened before and will happen again" element. The original Kate would NOT have gone back for Claire. But the Island Kate would have. She's changed. So even though she was never on the island, it has still changed her. @Marko – Good point.

I like the idea, and am interested in where it is going...but I hate the characters. In the alt timeine it is not Kate, Jack, and Sawyer...it is Kate b-side, Jack b-side, etc....I don't know who these people are! The KAte I know would have run not gone back for Claire (who gets back in the car with her?). What I am saying is that I don't these characters, not sure I like them, and am not invested in their stories cause I don't really know what they are. It is like they introduced a while new set of Nikki and Paolo's. ANything on the island I still like though. I am realizing I am not a fan of the alt timeline. I thought Jack was kick-ass and awesome (always been a Jack fan, even though he was hard to take at times, but he was just great this episode taking the weight of what happened to Sayid and TakingThePill!!!!!). You totally ignored the whole Kate/Sawyer scene on the dock, which I thought while maybe wasn't totally necessary storywise, but was awesome Josh Holloway acting-wise. I also love that the Templars are all typical Other-y by saying "You have to stay here', and Sawyer is all "Nope!" I mean really, after all this time why would ANYONE trust an Other??!!! Totally and completely digging the alternate LA-verse stuff. The people who are claiming that this particular timeline is a waste of time are clearly deluded, IMO.
