We must be in synch, Amy- just the other night I watched all of the "Kings" episodes in a marathon.

Ian McShane is the soul of the show. He elevated every single word written to some absurd level of awesome. I find the overall concept compelling- I think the show suffers from too much "soap opera" plotting at times. And David's mother's reaction to the whole trial really pissed me off. I found her anger towards David to be really nasty. Sure she had a legit gripe, but it's not like David did anything wrong. He voted his conscience in every single instance during the crisis. And he was duped by his brother into making this a set-up. If anything, I'd be pissed at the brother if I was the parent- he brought a lot of misery on himself. David was left with the mop and bucket on that one.

And Macauley Culkin... is flat-out creepy. I don't want him around anymore!

I found 'Kings' boring, but I know a lot of people who love it. It's how I feel about another criminally ignored show by NBC, 'Life'. Yet another show that had good DVR numbers, but NBC chose to ignore it and hardly gave it any promotion, IMO.

It is very sad to see the networks refuse to move along with the times, or move verrrrry slowly. A lot of good TV will be pushed by the wayside because if it.
