I have very mixed feelings about the finale. Part of it may be because our DVR blew it and didn’t record the last 11 minutes, so I had to wait eight frakkin’ days to see what was mostly epilogue…

I thought the last battle was FANtastic. I cheered when Chief strangled Tory (there was much cheering here in the apartment for that). I dug Kara punching in that last code to get everyone to (our) Earth. I was glad that my Cylon boyfriend helped save the day (*waves at Anders*). I even liked how the Adama/Roslin story ended (and I was sure I wasn’t gonna).

While I get the final Gaius/Six scene here in modern times, it felt tacked on somehow. Maybe I was just distracted by Ron’s cameo (although I like that he did it). I don’t know, really, what my problem with it was, but it certainly doesn’t eclipse the love I have for BSG. It will definitely hold a permanent place on my all-time favoites list.

Thanks for hosting and running this blog carnival. I've really enjoyed being introduced to all the sites and writers. I posted a Battlestar Galactica meme today with the intention of asking you to slip it into this last carnival. It looks like I just missed the print date. @Justin – well, the Colony was so huge that multiple base stars could fit inside. I think that most, if not all, the “bad” Cylons were there at the time. Either way, they don’t attack New Earth. We’re still here, so we know that much.

Hmm, I’m not so certain. There had to be other base stars out and about.
